Tamás Réthey-Prikkel

visual artist and photographer

I have been interested in visual culture since I was a child.
I pursued studies at the Photography Department of Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design. In 2006 I obtained a semester scholarship to the Kent Institute of Art and Design in Maidstone. This experience played a fundamental role in shaping my artistic approach.

As a photographer I am drawn to the relationship between perspective and composition.
This type of artistic focus flourishes best in building photography.
My images often redefine the built environment.
I strive to acquire an in-depth understanding of the background of each project. An example of such a complex project is the near 300-page MÜPA album created in 2015.
My analytical approach is apparent in my fashion and object photography as well.
